The Walt Disney Family Museum welcomes group visitors and has various offerings to best suit the needs of your group, including group-rate admission discounts, guided tours, and themed team-building experiences.
Self-Guided Group Visits
We encourage groups of 10 or more to book in advance with our friendly Group Sales staff. Groups who purchase tickets in advance will receive a discount on admission.
Self-guided groups with less than 25 guests are welcome to purchase discounted tickets online up to 72 hours in advance of the desired group visit date. If your group is larger than 25 guests, please contact Group Sales to arrange your group visit.
There are no refunds for tickets sold.
*There must be one (1) paid admission for every three (3) children ages 5 and under, and a minimum of 10 paid admissions, to receive the group discount.

Frequently Asked Questions
We encourage having one of our certified museum Storytellers guide your group through our ten main museum galleries. Guided tours last approximately one hour and are offered at 11am, 2pm, and 3pm.
Guided tours are $100 for 10 to 25 visitors and $175 for 26 to 50 visitors. One guide will accommodate a group of 25 or fewer. Two guides will accommodate groups of 25 or larger. Due to space restrictions, groups of 50 or more can be broken into smaller groups and can reserve multiple tour times.
Guided tours must be booked at least two weeks prior to the group’s arrival date. Late-arriving groups will begin the tour upon arrival and end at the originally scheduled time. Guided tours can be cancelled without refund if the group is more than 30 minutes late.

Adult/College Interactive Team Experiences (Available Oct–May)

These two-hour interactive team experiences start in our Learning Center, where participants discover the basic concepts of their chosen theme and work on focused activities. Following the workshop, groups will continue into our main galleries for a one-hour guided tour. Participants take part in interactive discussions within each gallery, focusing on how their chosen theme played a role in different parts of Walt’s personal journey. The experience concludes with shared reflections on the day and how to apply the chosen concept in one’s personal and professional lives.

In addition to its main galleries, which house the museum's permanent collection, The Walt Disney Family Museum has several special exhibition spaces. On the lower level of the main building, the Theater Gallery and Lower Lobby Gallery host small-scale, rotating special exhibitions; these exhibitions are typically free to the general public, or admission to them is included with main museum admission. The recommended viewing time for these exhibitions is generally 30 minutes.
The museum's larger special exhibition space, the Diane Disney Miller Exhibition Hall, is located in a separate building—just behind the main museum—and houses more extensive temporary exhibitions. Special exhibition admission fees vary; the recommended viewing time for exhibitions in the Diane Disney Miller Exhibition Hall is generally 30 minutes to one hour. To access the exhibition hall from the main building, exit through the cafe doors and follow the ramp to your right; the sidewalk will guide you across the back parking lot to the exhibition hall.

Catch a different film every month in our Fantasia-inspired theater, which seats 114 guests. Please visit our calendar for screening times and titles. Films are FREE for members; $5 with museum admission; $10 adult, $8 youth/student without museum admission.
Summer Camp Visits
We welcome all summer camp groups to explore and learn at The Walt Disney Family Museum at a special discounted rate and are available as a self-guided or museum educator guided experience. All summer camp groups can sign up for tickets by establishing an account through our summer camp ticket webstore. Please click here to request an account. Once approved, you will receive your personalized login information within 48 hours, so that you may access the webstore and book your tickets.
Guided groups will be led by our museum educators through the museum’s core galleries. When booking, groups can choose from a variety of different tour themes, ranging from those that reflect upon the magic of storytelling to those that delve into various technological innovations within the film and entertainment industries. Tours are included with admission and are offered at 10am and 1pm with a max of 60 youths per tour time slot. Tours are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
Self-guided youth groups are welcome to enjoy the museum at any time during our regular museum hours. All self-guided summer groups will receive complimentary STEAM guides for each youth.

A minimum of 10 paid admissions are needed to qualify as a group.
Groups are encouraged to book their discounted tickets online. To purchase tickets online your, group must have a minimum of 10 guests who are age 6 and older. Once the tickets are purchased an email confirmation and arrival instructions will be emailed to the ticket purchaser.
Visitors arriving on weekdays between 11am and 1pm will find fewer crowds.
It is recommended that groups allow for a minimum of two hours to explore the museum. If groups plan to see a special exhibition, we often recommend groups budget an extra 45 minutes to one hour on top of the two-hour visit.
Metered parking is available in designated parking areas throughout the Presidio. The price of metered parking varies depending on location. Parking in the Presidio typically ranges from $2–2.50 per hour, or $10–11 max per day.
Metered parking is available both in front of and behind the museum’s main building. Please observe posted signage relating to hourly limits.
Free bus parking is available in the lot across from the museum’s main entrance. Once parked, please use the paved sidewalks to walk across the main lawn to the museum, and be aware of nearby vehicles.
If you have purchased your tickets online, an email with arrival instructions will be sent to the ticket purchaser. Please have the ticket purchaser share this information with the group.
Please bring in your printed tickets or go to the Ticket Desk to pick-up your tickets from will call. If you have booked a guided tour, have the group leader check-in at our Ticket Desk. If you have not booked a guided tour, your group is welcome to enter the galleries when you have tickets in-hand.
Groups can reserve up to 50 complimentary translated audio guides. Group audio guides must be reserved in advance through the Group Sales department.
Currently, translated audio tours are available in French, German, Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish.
Open to museum visitors and the public, the museum cafe offers assorted pastries and coffee for breakfast, a seasonal lunch menu of from-scratch soups, salads, and sandwiches, afternoon snacks, and a full beverage menu from Bon Appétit Management Company. Dine indoors or enjoy the view from the patio overlooking the lawn on the Presidio’s Main Parade Ground.
The cafe is open daily, 10 am to 5 pm, except Tuesdays. The museum and café are closed every Tuesday, Thanksgiving Day, December 25, and January 1.

The Walt Disney Family Museum reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any scheduled group visit due to unforeseen circumstances. If we cannot reschedule your visit for another day, a refund will be issued.
Tickets will not be refunded for group visits cancelled by the group itself or unused tickets.
